THANK YOU :D
The next day the dermatologist came back and told me I had a small case of graft vs host disease on my skin but he also ran another test on the remaining sample, and discovered I had Ehlers Danlos Syndrome- A variety of gene mutations (changes) cause problems with collagen, the material that provides strength and structure to skin, bone, blood vessels, and internal organs.

A dermatologist was sent to see me the day before to examine my skin and my rash, but he ended up being very fascinated by my fingers because they are sooo long and touched my skin and found that it is very elastic and that I have hyper mobility in my joints.
I received platlets at 1 in the morning to prepare for my endoscopy. Later in the day i was scheduled to have a skin biopsy because of the rash on my skin, so i needed the biopsy to see if i had graft vs host disease. It hurt really bad to have the dermatologist cut out a piece of my skin. Then after that i had an endoscopy, a scope went down my throat into my stomach then small intestine where a small piece was biopsied. Afterwards I went to recovery then back to my room where my mouth bled for over 12 hrs. and no one woud give me platelets and my number was at 37,000 and the normal is 150,000-400,000. I ended up crying and they gave me a bag of platelets but they leaked out onto my bed :(
Then the next morning the team came in at 8:30 and my gum finally clotted until the Drs. asked me to rinse my mouth then stick out my tongue. The clot fell on my tongue and i started gagging. IT WAS SOOO GROSS.
Biopsy # 6 took place 30 days after my transplant, I was still in the hospital, and my doctors thought I would have been out by now. This was the biopsy that hurt the least, which was definitely what I needed because I had been through enough pain.

Thank you sooooo much :D

Here’s the morphine pump, the bag with white fluid is my food bag, and the rest are my medications. That i.v. tree was very heavy, I almost knocked it down a few times trying to walk with it.

All the plugs I had to unplug just to go to the bathroom, that was not fun. So instead of me having to unplug all of them, I would clap to let who ever was staying with me that night know that I had to use the bathroom and they would unplug everything for me. Later on I got a shelf to put all of my pumps on and they all plugged into it so I had one plug in my outlet, instead of 5 or more.
I was in sooooooo much pain for 2 weeks because of the mucositis, they gave me morphine and I used it a lot. I don’t even remember some things that happened because of it. The morphine didn’t really help the pain that much so one day i just decided to stop using it completely. I would rather deal with the excruciating pain, then to have to deal with not remembering things and throwing up 2-3 times a day. On a scale of 1-10 the pain was about a 12+ but I told the nurses that it was a 6 or 7 because I didn’t want anymore pain medication. I did have to deal with withdrawing from the morphine though. I kept throwing up while on it because I didn’t have any food in my stomach. I was put on a food bag the first week I was in the hospital and left on it for the next month.

After the high intensity chemo I was slowly starting to lose my hair, it was thin in the back and EXTREMELY itchy. One day i was clumping up on my shoulder and my sister was like “you have a big knot in your hair” so she took it in her hand and she looked shock like she broke me.
On August 1st after i woke up, I asked my dad if he could shave my head. He said yes and the nurse brought in a razor, I sat in a chair and he shaved my head. He was the nervous one, I was sitting there excited to have my head shaved because the itching was unbearable. His hand was so shaky i thought he was going to take my ears off too.

Here I am after my hair fell out. Afterwards I put all my hair in a bucket, it was a lot and everyone laughed at me :p
My sister brought some friends to visit, and it was great. We were talking and laughing and making paper flowers, but by the end of the visit I was throwing up in my pink bucket, I looked up at my visitors and was like wow what great way to end our visit :D
